Sports Direct Malaysia is currently looking for a Senior Finance Executive to join our growing team. Sports Direct Malaysia operates 40 retail stores domestically and manages a proprietary SportsDirect.com e-commerce site for domestic and regional fulfillment. The company employs over 1000 staff with plans to expand rapidly across Asia in the coming years. We have a multi-channel strategy focused on enhancing the customer experience and offering a wide range of quality products at excellent value.
Our stores are organized by key sports categories including : SD Football, SD Running, SD Training, SD Rackets, SD Swimming, SD Sports, SD Lifestyle, and SD Outdoor.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for month-end closing, ensuring accurate financial entries and timely reporting.
- Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly financial reports within deadlines.
- Consolidate and submit Group reporting in compliance with company standards.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and company policies.
- Perform AR matching and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Responsible for E-Invoice reconciliation, consolidation and E-Invoice related matters.
- Assist in implementing process improvements and internal controls for efficient reporting.
- Maintain accurate accounting ledgers and perform monthly reconciliations with supporting schedules.
- Prepare and support annual budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses for management.
- Assist in yearly audits, collaborating with internal and external auditors.
- Manage ad-hoc financial projects and reporting tasks as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Candidate must possess at least a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certifications preferred.Minimum 3 years of finance experience in full-set accounts and financial reporting.Ability to work and effectively communicate with staff / departments within the organization.Able to commit time to meet deadlines and prioritize work with good time management.Required skills : Microsoft Office, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.Independent with strong sense of responsibility, detail-oriented and able to multitask.Preferably candidates with exposure to the retail industry.Additional Information
