Project Engineer (Civil & Electrical)

About the role

The Project Engineer (Civil & Electrical) will support the successful execution of Transmission & Distribution substation projects (500kV GIS, 275kV GIS / AIS, 132kV GIS / AIS, etc.) by planning, coordinating, and monitoring site activities in compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. This role involves assisting Project Managers and Site Managers in ensuring project progress is on schedule, resources are efficiently utilized, subcontractors’ performance is managed effectively, and all documentation and quality control procedures are maintained to deliver projects to the highest standard.

What you'll be doing

• Plan, coordinate, execute, and monitor the electrical progress of Transmission & Distribution substation projects.
• Assist project managers and project teams in implementing, monitoring, and controlling project works within the targeted timeline, ensuring compliance with technical and safety requirements.
• Organize, monitor, and progressively control subcontractor performance, supplier material quality, machinery output, and overall project efficiency according to drawings and specifications.
• Assist Site Managers in planning, monitoring, and controlling daily work activities at project sites.
• Implement all policies, procedures, and instructions as required by the quality management system.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, statutory regulations, and safety standards.
• Monitor project operations, document control, inspection, and testing procedures to ensure quality standards are met.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities and resources to achieve timely project completion.
• Maintain good housekeeping and enforce safety practices on-site.
• Review and submit sample materials, calibration certificates, and other relevant documentation to consultants for approval.
• Undertake any other duties as instructed by the Superior or Senior Management team.
