Job Description (English)
Responsibilities :
- Act as the primary HRBP for designated business units, building strong relationships with managers and employees.
- Lead and manage Industrial Relations (IR) matters including disciplinary cases, grievances, performance management, and investigations, ensuring fair and consistent practices.
- Provide expert advice on employment laws, HR policies, and best practices to management and employees.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and act as a mediator to resolve workplace conflicts.
- Draft, review, and translate HR documentation (e.g., policies, contracts, notices) in both English and Japanese where required.
- Partner with leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and talent management.
- Collaborate with HR Centres of Excellence (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development) to deliver integrated HR solutions.
- Monitor HR metrics, generate reports, and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, company policies, and collective agreements.
- Managing non-confirmation cases, PIPs, and disciplinary actions
- Conducting employee grievance handling, counselling, and wellness interventions
- Preparing show cause letters, warning letters, and assisting in Domestic Inquiry (DI) processes
- Supporting employee engagement programs and HR policy implementation in collaboration with HRBP and IR team
- Exposure to Malaysian Employment Act compliance and experience working in BPO or large-scale operations will be an added advantage.
Requirements :
Education : Diploma and aboveFluency in Japanese and English (written and spoken) is required.Candidates with Industrial Relations / HR operations knowledge or experience.Sound knowledge of local employment laws and regulations will be an added advantage.Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.Ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural awareness.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.Seniority level
