Drilling HSE Supervisor

Responsibilities
- Assist HSE Manager to administer / manage activities of the HSE section.
- Represent HSE Manager in liaising with Government, Petronas, PCSB, PIMMAG, and industry on HSE when required.
- Ensure the highest safety performance standards through the implementation of the Company’s Safety Management System (HSEMS); act as focal person in implementing accident prevention and safety awareness programs; review and analyse accident / near‑miss incidents to measure performance, identify causes and propose improvement suggestions.
- Supervise and maintain a high level of safety awareness among employees and contractors; coordinate and conduct orientation and follow‑up training programmes; ensure availability and distribution of safety manuals and literature at all Company locations.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to the Drilling Supervisor for setting objectives around HSE management and emergency management implementation.
- Develop Emergency Response Procedures and conduct regular evacuation and emergency drills and exercises to ensure preparedness at all locations.
- Develop Blow‑Out and Hazardous Material Release Emergency Response Plans and Fire Evacuation Plans.
- Create Safety Inspection formats and train field personnel to conduct inspections and maintain a database.
- Support Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments for all site activities.
- Participate in the implementation of occupational health and hygiene programmes; maintain highest personal hygiene standards and follow up on identified issues.
- Organise audit programmes, coordinating and keeping records of site audits with Contractor HSE supervisors.
- Perform regular inspections to ensure HSE compliance.
- Provide HSE support to the Drilling Supervisor for emergency response.
- Conduct training, drills and coaching to maintain emergency preparedness and promote HSE awareness and efficiency.
- Analyse, monitor and record HSE trends and statistics for future planning and proactive measures; report all HSE‑related information to the Drilling Support Team (HSE Advisor).
- Participate in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies to identify potential hazards and implement mitigation measures.
Qualifications
Minimum qualification of high school certificate, diploma, or degree in engineering.Minimum of 10 years’ experience in drilling operations, including exposure to deep water drilling.Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an HSE professional in a supervisory role.Nationality must be Malaysian.Note : Only those applicants who meet the above criteria will be contacted as part of the shortlisting process.
