Responsibilities
To register your Site Safety Supervisor License (Yellow Book) at the project site.
To check, control, and ensure daily operation at the site is adhered to Occupational Safety and Health (Amendment) Act 2022, legal and corporate requirements.
To anticipate, prevent, and eliminate all unsafe conditions and practices at sites that could lead to occupational injuries and illness.
Work closely with all department heads to provide input related to safety, health, and environmental matters.
Involvement in risk / hazard assessment at sites. All the identified hazards shall be attended to and recorded.
Liaise with DOE, DOSH, CIDB, and local authorities.
Ensure workers’ passports, working permits, permits to work (PTW), CIDB, or any other necessary documents are always valid to work at the site.
Conduct weekly Safety and Health inspections around the work site to ensure compliance with the S&H plan, procedures, and statutory regulations.
Conduct safety briefing / training / induction to all new employees, contractors, vendors, and other.
To prepare Safety Reports, Job Safety Analysis, HIRADC, lifting plans, etc.
To be involved in an incident investigation if there is any incident at the site.
To assist during audits and inspections, and maintain all documentation and records.
Conduct regular check-ups on equipment such as lifts, cranes, scaffolding, and electrical equipment to ensure they are functioning properly and safe to use.
To assist the Project Manager / SHO in setting workers' workplace, attendance, and quarters.
Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
Requirements :
Applicants must be holders of a valid DOSH Yellow Book.
Experience to read Construction drawings.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in the Health and Safety field (Construction Industry) is essential for this role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications is required.
Willingness to travel to various site locations.
