Key Account Management work focuses on medium-to-long-term planning and face-to-face selling of a variety of products, services and / or solutions across multiple lines of business for a defined group of existing clients, including :
- Developing medium-to-long-term sales plans and strategies to protect, grow, and diversify relationships with existing customers.
- Identifying and managing interactions with assigned customers to uncover cross / up and repeat sales opportunities.
- Resolving problems and ensuring high-quality customer service.
As an individual contributor, the Account Manager leads all marketing and sales activities for the Malaysia region, across the portfolio of Industries & Independent Power Producer (IPP) , to ensure Hitachi Energy significantly increases sales, margins, market share, and customer satisfaction in the selected markets. The role involves developing and implementing a market-based sales strategy, reporting to the Local Sales Manager / Country Managing Director, based in Petaling Jaya.

Define and implement all sales and marketing activities related to products, services, and systems in alignment with the company's strategy, aiming to increase relevant metrics in targeted market segments.Develop and execute a market-based approach, including direct, third-party, and project sales, while building strong customer relationships with key stakeholders to educate, inform, and support pursuit of opportunities that convert into orders.Act as a champion or internal consultant within the local sales organizations to drive strategies and increase sales awareness, facilitating collaboration between the common sales organization and BU-specific resources.Review customer strategies and propose solutions aligned with best practices and the Hitachi Energy portfolio, considering the customer's journey.Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines.Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions and caring for colleagues and the business.Your background :
Management consulting experience preferred over an engineering background.Minimum of 10+ years in sales and account management within the energy sector, with a proven track record in selling / negotiating strategic / complex customer-facing projects.Deep understanding of electricity / energy infrastructure assets development processes, contractual and financial structures.Experience with electricity infrastructure developers is preferred, along with strong project management skills, initiative, flexibility, resourcefulness, and excellent communication and organizational skills. Willingness to travel for business.Experience in leading and managing change communication.Fluent in English, both written and spoken.More about us :
