The Global AI Village is a co-creation of The Hive’s Global AI Fund. The Village is an AI innovation hub, aggregating AI talent to : support cutting-edge startups in the Bay Area and beyond, bring Bay Area AI tech to the region and selectively incubate high-impact AI businesses. You will be employed by the Village in this role, but you will be working to drive the regional success of a Bay Area AI cybersecurity investee of The Hive. More about this role : As a Senior Solution Engineer at the Global AI Village, you’ll bridge sales and support for a Bay Area cybersecurity startup. The role is primarily for a Malaysian-based key customer, but can grow beyond this. This role is uniquely positioned at the intersection of sales and support : on the one hand, you’ll partner with client teams to deliver integrations and workflows. On the other, you’ll be the trusted technical contact post-sale acting as first line of defense to solve customers’ support requests. It’s a role for someone who thrives in both solution design and hands-on troubleshooting, who can switch easily between a whiteboard session with executives and a deep technical dive with operators. There's a great opportunity for growth and exposure as you will be a bridge between the Bay Area startup and their rapid expansion into the region. You really need to be self-motivated and empathetic to what the startup's customers really need, and importantly, have a burning desire to do more for their customers. Your broad responsibilities will centre around : Act as subject matter expert and trusted advisor : assessing, implementing, and delivering customized integrations and workflows using industry knowledge, ICS best practices and client needs Be first line of defense to solve support requests; coordinate timely resolutions with engineering teams Provide training and coaching to customers on how to establish and manage solutions deployment Connect the dots between customer pain points and startup’s capabilities to drive measurable outcomes Be customer-obsessed and influence customers’ roadmap and improvement requirements Work with customers to define technical solutions meeting requirements using a combination of internal and occasionally third-party solutions Collaborate with startup’s sales teams to build client relationships by demonstrating technical expertise and deep understanding of needs Need to travel in region (up to about 30% of your time) Ideally you have all or most of the following qualifications : Degree in Computer Science or Engineering >
3 years of experience in developing cybersecurity solutions and services, with a focus on IAM / PAM, ICS environments, and network security >
3 years in design and deployment of network security solutions and controls in industrial networks (i.e. network zoning, segmentation, and isolation designs and implementation) Linux system administration and troubleshooting experience Comfortable with one high-level programming language Proficient in Shell / Bash / Python / C++ Knowledge of virtual machines, network virtualization, and containerization technologies (Docker) Understanding of Industrial Control Systems (technologies and / or environments. Examples include SCADA, DCS, RTUs, IACS, PLCs, HMIs, Engineering Workstations, Historians, etc.) It would be nice if you have : Experience working directly in an industrial environment Experience with automation platforms, such as Ansible An ability to teach and coach technical subject matter Seniority level
