Watlow designs and manufactures heating solutions consisting primarily of electric resistive heaters, temperature sensors, temperature and power controllers and supporting software – all the components of a thermal system. Overview

This position will lead flow and process in assigned work centers; coaching work center team on Continuous improvement and embracing change.

Responsibilities

• Lead flow and process in assigned work centers; coach the work center team on continuous improvement and embracing change.
• Use judgment to know when to refer issues to others and recommend and implement solutions within designated area of responsibility.
• Technical troubleshooting of process, equipment, and product; contribute to problem solving activities.
• Understand processes and tools / techniques, apply them in multiple work areas, and train others on specific skills.
• Utilize resources to learn the business; facilitate and coach others.
• Identify ways to reduce waste and improve business processes; transfer knowledge across situations.
• Demonstrate approachability, openness, and excellent interpersonal listening and communication capabilities.
• Use the Watlow Business System to achieve results; demonstrate WW Leader Behaviors.
• Lead and participate in Gemba walks and follow up on actions regarding Cell Improvement, Standard Work & PSCs (Problem Solving Centers).
• Follow Andon process; provide on-the-job training; create and audit standard work in collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing and CI.
• Verify daily 6S is followed; communicate problems or team issues to the Team Leader; follow Standard Operating Process (SOP) Lead Operator.
• Responsible for training in the Work Cell and ensuring proper training records are retained.
