Job Purpose
To provide strategic support and data-driven insights for the Group and its operating entities, with a dual focus on Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Market Research. This role is critical in identifying growth opportunities, evaluating potential investments, and supporting strategic decision-making through robust research, forecasting, and financial modeling.
Job Responsibilities
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
- Conduct strategic evaluations of potential M&A opportunities, partnerships, and investments.
- Perform financial modeling, valuation analysis, and support due diligence processes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to assess deal feasibility, strategic fit and execution of the identified M&A.
- Prepare investment memos, board papers, and presentations for senior management and board-level review.
Market Research & Analytics
Design and execute comprehensive market research and feasibility studies to inform Group and subsidiary strategies.Define research objectives, methodologies, and manage timelines across primary and secondary research.Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitor strategies, regulatory developments, and macroeconomic indicators.Interpret and synthesize market, economic, consumer, and competitive data into actionable insights.Deliver periodic and ad-hoc competitive intelligence reports to support product, pricing, distribution, and positioning strategies.Data Management & Analytics

Support the formulation and review of the Group’s strategic and business plans and performance indicators through market-backed evidence and scenario analysis.Contribute to strategy workshops and discussions with senior stakeholders across the Group.Participate in cross-functional projects including new market entry assessments, innovation initiatives, and performance improvement programs.Review the implementation of strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with market realities and research insightsCommunication & Reporting
Prepare and present research findings, trends, and strategic recommendations to Senior Management and Boards.Ensure timely and accurate reporting for internal and external stakeholders through papers, presentations, and briefing notes.Process Improvement and Best Practices
Continuously assess and enhance research processes, tools, and governance to improve quality, relevance, and timeliness.Benchmark and adopt best practices in market research and analytics within the financial services and takaful industry.Team Leadership & Capacity Building
Lead and mentor a team of analysts, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.Identify skill gaps and implement structured development plans to build team capabilities and performance.Job Requirements
Degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, Data Science, or related field.Minimum 7 years in roles requiring financial or strategic analysis, preferably in insurance, reinsurance, or financial services .Proven experience in team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and managing M&A and complex research projects.Good communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical audiences.Experience in M&A, financial modeling, market research, and strategic analytics.Relevant certification in market research and familiarity with analytics and data visualization tools will be an added advantage.Seniority level
