To manage and maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger by performing timely and accurate accounting entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The Senior Finance Executive (GL) supports monthly closing activities, ensures compliance with accounting standards, and assists in internal and external audits.
Record and review journal entries including accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications in accordance with accounting standards.
Ensure all transactions are posted accurately and supported with proper documentation.
Maintain up-to-date and well-organized GL accounts and ensure consistency of chart of accounts.
Perform month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Prepare supporting schedules and ensure all relevant entries are posted within the closing timeline.
Collaborate with other finance team members to reconcile intercompany and cross-module balances.
Perform regular bank, intercompany, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Analyze GL movements and provide explanations for variances.
Prepare audit schedules and provide necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
Address auditor queries and ensure audit issues are resolved on time.
Job Requirements :
Education : Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; partial or full professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is preferred.
Experience : 3–5 years of experience in general ledger accounting or related finance roles.
Technical Skills : Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
