Overview
Accounting & Controls Financial Process Excellence Manager, APAC at Boston Scientific. The role leads Program ACE (Accounting & Controls Excellence), focusing on process harmonization (leveraging technology and GBS), controls enhancement, and strengthening collaboration and organizational capabilities. The program aims to achieve approximately USD 4.8M in VIP savings by December 2025 and includes building a pipeline of projects for 2026 and beyond, aligned with stakeholders on prioritization and execution. You will drive end-to-end transformation initiatives across the APAC Accounting & Controls and GBS organization, with a focus on strategic leadership, program management, planning, stakeholder engagement, and change management to deliver long-term impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management : Work with stakeholders to develop a sound business case for decision making, including project objectives, deliverables and success criteria.
- Planning & Execution : Develop comprehensive project plans (scope, timelines, stakeholders, communications, resources) and lead end-to-end programs to meet timelines and objectives.
- Training & Change Readiness : Define training and performance support schedules and oversee the design and delivery of training by project SMEs / process specialists; evaluate user readiness and monitor change progress.
- Risk & Quality : Identify and mitigate risks, maintain risk / issue registers, track issues, and ensure quality through adherence to PM standards; identify process improvements.
- Program Closure : Monitor progress to adoption, handover, and formal project closure.
- Stakeholder Management : Define engagement and communication plans, provide regular updates on status, risks, and issues; foster collaboration across teams and levels; build stakeholder commitment to change.
- Communication & Training : Collaborate with country / function teams to ensure effective change communication and training programs; maintain relationships with key stakeholders to support project objectives.
- Resource Management : Ensure team members and change champions have tools, training, and support to perform their roles.
- Budget Management : Manage project budgets, track expenses, and report financial status.
- Quality Assurance & Standards : Adhere to BSC project management standards; participate in reviews to ensure compliance; lead opportunities for PMO-wide improvements and VIPs.
- Reporting & Documentation : Prepare status reports for stakeholders and Portfolio managers; maintain project documentation; identify opportunities for harmonization and efficiency.
- Roadmapping & Automation : Develop a multi-year project roadmap (2026 & beyond); maintain a live pipeline dashboard; explore digital tools (automation, data analytics, AI) to improve efficiency, transparency, and compliance.
Key Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications — Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; 10+ years in program management, finance transformation, accounting, internal controls, or process optimization; strong financial controls knowledge; experience with GBS or shared services transformations is a plus; ERP systems proficiency (SAP ECC preferred) and familiarity with automation technologies (RPA, AI, workflow tools); digital solutions mindset; PM certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) advantageous.Program & Change Management Skills — Proven ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional programs with measurable outcomes; change management experience; strong stakeholder management across APAC; ability to identify and prioritize a pipeline of future initiatives.Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities — Data-driven decision making; ability to identify inefficiencies, assess risks, and implement improvements; understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and risk management; excellent communication and collaboration across diverse teams.Seniority & Employment
