What You’ll Be Doing :
- Lead the development, implementation, and execution of project cost control, planning, and reporting within the contracted scope
- Establish and manage budgets, manpower plans, marine spread costing, procurement interfaces, and cost forecasts
- Monitor and reconcile costs, purchase orders, invoices, and payments to ensure financial accuracy
- Prepare and issue monthly project management and cost reports (PMR) and maintain cost control procedures
- Track and manage variation orders, risks, and opportunities to maintain project profitability
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Financial Controller, Planner, and Contracts team to manage change control, scheduling impacts, and cash flow forecasts
- Support procurement and supply chain activities through cost input, vendor evaluation, and forecasting
- Maintain invoicing, risk, and variation registers and follow up on client and vendor payments
- Participate in risk management, project reviews, and close‑out reporting, identifying areas for improvement in cost processes
What We’re Looking For :
This role requires proven management, engineering, and construction site cost control capability, along with a track record of successfully delivering and overseeing cost control services for engineering, onshore fabrication, and offshore installation projects to meet project and client needs. Candidates should have experience interacting with both project management and clients at a senior level and possess a solid understanding of what is required to operate effectively in that environment.
10 years relevant experience working in cost control in the engineering, procurement, construction and installation industryExperienced and qualified with accountancy software platforms such as Navision / Sage / SAP / ORACLE in application to complex programmes and projectsAbility to estimate, plan and set standards at both macro and micro levelFamiliarity with construction site equipment, techniques and logisticsRelevant experience in the following :Yard fabrication and AssemblyProcurement of Long‑lead Item and smaller scope with the associated logisticsCommissioning sequences Onshore and OffshoreOffshore OperationsGood oral and written communication skillsGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite especially MS Excel and MS ProjectAbility to work under your own initiative and part as a team is essentialBe able to communicate effectively with peers and project stakeholders at all levelsResponsible for Cost Control for all Projects, ensuring the management of cost control, planning and reporting to the 2H senior management including project managersSeniority Level
