Data Protection Platform Engineer

Overview

As a Data Protection Platform Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the development, integration, and security of data platforms that power bp’s enterprise applications. You’ll work alongside engineers and architects to ensure high performance, resilience, and compliance across bp’s cloud and data infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your platform engineering skills while contributing to impactful, real-world solutions. Join a collaborative team of engineers and product managers, partnering with technology and business partners to advance bp’s digital transformation. You'll contribute to key data initiatives and help strengthen the company's platform capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support configuration, integration, and maintenance of enterprise-grade data platforms.
• Contribute to CI / CD pipeline implementation and adopt Infrastructure-as-Code to drive efficiency and consistency.
• Assist in monitoring and enhancing platform performance, availability, and reliability.
• Collaborate on fundamental security tasks including access control, monitoring, and remediation.
• Help deliver data pipelines and platform features across multi-cloud environments.
• Contribute to documentation, testing processes, and overall platform workflow improvements.
• Ensure platforms meet enterprise data compliance, governance, and security standards.
