Responsibilities

• Supervise each security operation shift, ensuring patrol patterns and frequencies protect guests and team members.
• Familiarize with and check hotel fire equipment and fire evacuation passages.
• Ensure Security Guards report maintenance issues to the Engineering department promptly as recorded during patrols.
• Familiarize with each department’s procedures, security knowledge and emergency procedures; supervise each position’s knowledge and standards.
• Conduct random bag inspections of team members entering and leaving the building.
• Ensure the asset removal policy is adhered to, preventing unauthorized removal of hotel assets.
• Arrange escort services for team members carrying cash, where required.
• Maintain perimeter patrols at entry and egress points to prevent loitering on hotel premises.
• Assess team members’ work knowledge, discipline and responsibilities.
• Communicate and implement the department’s work arrangements and training plans.
• Conduct random inspections to ensure security practices are followed, exits are clear, equipment does not obstruct fire hose reels, and adequate clearance exists between stored goods and sprinkler heads.
• Take appropriate action to resolve guests’ complaints, communicating professionally and effectively with guests.
• Be familiar with current first aid and fire emergency procedures.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and tidiness in your work area.
• Maintain a professional appearance up to Hilton standards, with a positive attitude and behaviour at all times.
• Interact with team members professionally to foster good rapport and two-way communication.
• Adhere to the hotel’s policies and procedures, Hilton code of conduct and the team member handbook.
