To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a / an Debug Engineer located in Bukit Minyak, Penang.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for evaluating and interpreting test data and product performance, providing technical advice for repair.
• Play a crucial role in resolving yield problems by conducting root cause examination, coordinating corrective action measures, and monitoring improvements.
• Involved in training and instructing floor support, debug technicians, and test operators on test hardware and software, as well as ensuring proper follow-up of problem solutions.
• Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing process.
• Understand conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.
• Prepare technical summary reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.
• Interface and confer with engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues.
• Use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software for examination purposes.
• Allocate defect causes to various sources (e.g., process, material) and prepare reports for follow-up with involved parties such as quality, purchasing, SQA.
• Work with floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and / or software, and apply proper problem-solving techniques.
• Resolve test yield problems by performing investigation of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.
• Evaluate and configure digital circuits using Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and Ball Grid Array (BGA).
• Resolve failures from point of origin / point of detection.
• Evaluate and interpret test data and product performance with evidence of design-related Failure Analysis Report.
