Sales & Service Engineer
Our client is the world's largest manufacturer of metering pumps and is a solution partner for water treatment. They have offices over 60 countries worldwide. Due to business expansion, they are looking for a qualified Sales & Service Engineer to support their sales and service team.
This is a team-based, incentive-driven role, with a focus on collaboration and shared success. The role primary responsibility is to have a combined technical knowledge with sales skills to provide 80% internal assistance to sales lead and 20% external support to customers regarding technical products or services. This role involves understanding customer requirements, offering technical solutions, and ensuring post-sales support to enhance customer satisfaction. The products focus are chemical handling equipment inclusive of chemical dosing pumps, measurements and control technology and water treatment systems.
What You'll Do
- Support sales activities in collaboration with the Unit Manager.
- Identify potential customers & generate leads.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs and proposing technical solutions.
- Collaborate with the sales team to create sales strategies and achieve Water Team's sales targets.
- Deliver technical & service presentations to clients.
- Provide technical support and advice to sales lead and customers before and after sales.
- Actively participate in tender process i.e. tender document submission, technical clarification, commercial clarification, etc. Supports tender documentaton work when required.
- Gather customer feedback and communicate insights to the relevant departments for product and service improvement.
- Troubleshoot simple technical issues and provide prompt resolutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the technical team to address complex customer inquiries or problems.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, customer interactions, and transactions through company's systems.
- Prepare regular reports on sales activities, market trends, and customer feedback.
- Plan and execute localised campaigns, activations, and media engagement efforts to support product launches, partnerships, and brand storytelling.
- Track and report on PR coverage and performance.
What We're Looking For
