Your Role
As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll play a crucial role in driving residential leads and supporting our sales team in Malaysia. You’ll be the first point of contact for potential customers, handling inbound calls, answering inquiries, and conducting discovery calls to qualify leads. In addition to setting appointments for our sales associates, you’ll assist with preliminary solar designs and proposal preparation. No prior solar experience is required, but we’re looking for someone who enjoys speaking with people, can handle rejections gracefully, and has 1-2 years of sales or customer service experience.
This role offers the chance to develop key skills in customer relationship management, sales processes, and cross-functional collaboration, while working closely with a mission-driven team in a growing industry.
- Fielding and managing all inbound calls and messages
- Conducting discovery and qualification calls to identify top-of-funnel leads
- Pitching Rent-to-Own solar offers and driving conversions to advisory calls
- Assisting in the preparation of rooftop solar designs and proposals for potential clients
- Managing appointment scheduling for sales associates to conduct advisory calls or site surveys with clients
- Supporting the sales team with new initiatives to enhance the sales process and improve customer experience
- Handling ad-hoc projects as needed to support the team
Qualifications
Minimum Diploma or higher1-2 years of experience in sales or customer service, ideally in a phone-based roleProficient in Google Suite (Google Docs, Slides, Sheets)Fluent or proficient in English and Bahasa Melayu; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plusStrong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsComfortable handling challenges and rejections with persistence and patienceOrganised, able to multi-task, and manage priorities in a fast-paced startup environmentMotivated, adaptable, and eager to contribute to a growing teamClick here to apply
