What’s the role?
We are seeking an energetic and capable IT Operations Engineer for our Integrated Operations Center. The role involves job automation, incident de-escalation, critical IT services monitoring, and other IT Operations activities across SAP and other platforms. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on multiple platforms and applications, requiring excellent teamwork skills, confidence, integrity, and strategic thinking to manage complex IT environments and drive continuous improvement.
What does the role involve?
As IT Operations Engineer (SAP), you will be involved in the following :
- IT Operations : As part of a team consisting of internal and external teams, you will manage and maintain both SAP and other systems to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability. This encompasses User Administration, Event Management, Incident Management, Request Management, Release Management, Change Management, and importantly, Major Incident Management and IT Crisis Management.
- Stakeholder Management : Act as a spokesperson for the IT Operations team, liaising with various teams in delivering IT operations tasks.
- Technical Expertise : Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues to minimize disruptions to business operations.
- Project Involvement : Participate in projects either as a member or project manager, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Vendor Management : Oversee and guide external managed services teams and IT product vendors to meet expectations.
- Solution Ownership : Maintain and enhance solutions to ensure they meet business needs and performance standards.
What you need is :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related technical discipline to IT and / or Business Administration, with CGPA >3.0
At least 3 years of experience in SAP Basis and / or SAP AMS operations, with exposure to non-SAP systems and vendor management experiences.High proficiency and practical experience in SAP systems.Major incident management experience is a must.Job scheduling experience is an added advantageDisaster Recovery knowledge is an added advantageStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage stakeholders.Able to be on-call and lead as well as perform maintenance tasks on weekends (approximately once a month), ensuring continuous and efficient IT operations while balancing regular working hours.Why should you apply?
