Business Development Manager, Product Certification

Reports to : Commercial Head of Product Certification, South Asia & Australia

Location : Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Travel : 50%+ frequent travel throughout Malaysia, travel to Singapore quarterly with additional exhibition attendance.

Language requirements : Fluent Malay and fluent English.

Purpose of the Role

Sell BSI Product Certification and Product Testing services to clients in the following sectors : electrical / electronic components manufacturing, PPE, fire protection products, IoT and sustainability products.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Proactively network with existing customers and generate new business opportunities.
• Identify and pursue new prospects within territory to grow customer base through targeted contacts, trade shows and client visits.
• Work closely with Global BSI delivery teams to plan relevant resources to meet customer expectations.
• Produce accurate sales forecasts and reports of activities undertaken.
• Remain up to date with BSI’s certification processes and related regulations and communicate them to customers.
• Apply knowledge of competitors to identify business advantages of BSI products.
