Associate Senior Manager Legal and Compliance , you play a pivotal part in safeguarding the organization’s legal and regulatory interests while maintaining the highest standards of compliance. You are responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice and support across a wide range of areas including contractual, commercial, operational, corporate and regulatory matters. You are also tasked with ensuring adherence to applicable laws regulations and internal policies while working closely with group-level legal and corporate secretarial functions. Strong communication advisory and stakeholder management skills are essential to succeed in this role. Your contribution will be essential in fostering a culture of integrity governance and accountability ensuring that legal and compliance risks are effectively managed while supporting a dynamic and fast-growing business environment. This position reports to GSC's Chief Executive Officer and Group Head of Legal & Corporate Secretarial. Responsibilities

Provide legal guidance on commercial, operational, and regulatory matters. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents. Conduct legal research and risk analysis to support business decisions. Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise on necessary actions. Support internal investigations into fraud, misconduct, or compliance breaches. Champion legal and compliance best practices across the organization. Compile and assess compliance reports from subsidiaries. Escalate critical legal or regulatory issues to Senior Management and the Board. Ensure timely reporting of audits, investigations, or enforcement actions. Implement effective compliance monitoring and risk mitigation processes. Develop and deliver compliance training programs. Promote a culture of ethics, accountability, and legal awareness at all levels. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure understanding of relevant laws and policies. Who We're Looking For

A qualified legal professional with strong knowledge of Malaysian laws and regulations. At least 10 years of relevant experience in corporate legal and compliance functions (preferably in-house), with strong capabilities in litigation and end-to-end contract management. Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong problem-solving mindset and business acumen. Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
