Calibration Engineer

The Organization is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join their calibration procedure and test automation team in Penang, Malaysia. In this position, you will develop calibration software that allows organization's global service centers as well as external self-maintainer customers to efficiently repair, calibrate, and optimize our market-leading electronic test equipment. Working with world class measurement experts, you will be part of a team that creates automated software that adheres to US and international standards to ensure that company products meet their performance specifications. You will be working with R&D, manufacturing and software teams in other geographies world-wide. You will architect, design, and implement test algorithms, instrument interfaces, device drivers and measurements to characterize and validate state of the art hardware. You will perform this in modern object-oriented test development environments over the full software lifecycle of requirements capture, investigation, product definition, design, implementation, test, release, and maintenance. Your job will include hands on exposure to a wide variety of company's test equipment products including (but not limited to) power meters and sensors, signal analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators and oscilloscopes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with software exposure, Computer Science with hardware emphasis, or equivalent experience. Advanced Object Oriented design experience Proven Windows programming experience and knowledge of operating system Proven Microsoft .NET and C# programming experience Understanding of the product development lifecycle Knowledge of contemporary software design methodologies and programming techniques Knowledge of RF and microwave measurements and test equipment Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with diverse groups of customers and designers Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment including hardware, software and manufacturing Demonstrated ability to work with multi-site developers in a virtual team environment Self-motivated and have desire to make a difference
