Role Overview We are looking for a Senior Manager - HRBP to lead our people practices across Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, overseeing both HR Business Partnering and Admin responsibilities for the regions. The role requires strong stakeholder management across geographies, deep understanding of local labor laws in both SG and KL, and a strong cultural alignment with the India HR team.
This role will report into the India HR team and work in close collaboration with the Curlec & Singapore Leadership. Close working with the Talent Acquisition team is expected, but without direct oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership :
- Act as a strategic HR Business Partner to business leaders across Singapore and KL markets, supporting organizational growth and people development.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives.
- Provide insights and recommendations on talent management, workforce planning, and organizational design.
People Strategy & Operations :
Own and execute People Strategy, employee lifecycle processes, and Admin operations across both markets.Ensure compliance with local employment laws in Singapore and Malaysia in all HR practices and policies.Maintain and continuously improve HR operations and administrative excellence in line with local needs and global standards.Performance Management :
Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.Provide coaching and support to managers on performance-related matters and employee development.Implement programs to recognize and reward high performance.Stakeholder Engagement :
Lead stakeholder engagement across diverse geographies and senior leadership, acting as a thought partner to business heads.Partner with Talent Acquisition for seamless workforce planning and hiring; no direct reporting lines from TA.Employee Relations :
Address complex employee relations issues, providing guidance on conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.Foster a positive work environment by implementing best practices for employee engagement and satisfaction.Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies, conducting investigations and resolving issues as needed.Compliance and Risk Management :
Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.Manage risk related to HR activities and develop strategies to mitigate potential issues.Stay updated on HR best practices and legal requirements to advise the organization accordingly.HR Projects and Initiatives :
Lead or participate in regional HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes and systems.Manage HR budgets and resources effectively.Employee Engagement & Development :
Design and execute employee engagement, retention, and development initiatives aligned with Razorpay's people-first culture.Drive change management, organizational design, and cross-border cultural alignment to ensure smooth transitions and consistent employee experience.Develop frameworks for learning, wellness, and leadership development in collaboration with the central India HR team.Requirements
8-10 years of strong HRBP / generalist experience, preferably in fast-paced, high-growth, or startup environments.Demonstrated experience working across multiple geographies, with local labor law knowledge in Singapore and Malaysia.Proven ability in org design, performance management, change initiatives, stakeholder management, and culture building.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with senior leadership and employees.Experience managing employee lifecycle and engagement across distributed teams.Strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to influence without authority.Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; MBA preferred.Prior experience managing Admin or office operations is a plus.Experience with HRIS systems and HR metrics.Location & Reporting
