Maintenance Engineer - Tanjong Malim

Overview

Responsible for ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment. This role is crucial for implementing robust maintenance procedures, troubleshooting complex issues, and driving improvements to minimize downtime and enhance overall plant productivity.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive preventive maintenance (PM) schedule for all plant machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Promptly diagnose and resolve equipment breakdowns, and mechanical / electrical failures to minimize operational downtime and production losses.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of new machinery and lead equipment upgrade projects from conception to completion.
• Manage an inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies. Source and procure necessary components, ensuring critical parts are readily available while managing costs.
• Ensure all maintenance activities adhere strictly to company safety policies and national industry regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments on all equipment.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance activities, equipment history, and repair logs using our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Prepare technical reports on equipment performance, maintenance outcomes, and department KPIs.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, equipment upgrades, and cost-reduction initiatives within the Production Department.
