About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Support Analyst who is responsible for the maintenance, support, and troubleshooting of business-critical software applications. This role acts as a bridge between end-users and technical teams to ensure systems run smoothly and user issues are resolved promptly. This position is based in our offices in Shah Alam, Selangor.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support and issue resolution for internal and external users of software applications.
- Monitor application performance and respond to incidents within defined SLAs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues by analyzing logs, errors, and user feedback.
- Work closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to resolve underlying issues and implement long-term fixes.
- Perform regular health checks and ensure application stability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, FAQs, and user guides.
- Participate in application upgrades, patching, and deployment processes.
- Support data extraction, reporting, and minor configuration changes as required.
- Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate teams while ensuring timely follow-up and communication with stakeholders.
- Provide training or support to end-users as needed.
Qualifications and skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).2 – 5 years of experience in an application support or technical support role.Strong knowledge of SQL for querying databases.Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., OTRS).Basic understanding of networking, APIs, and web-based applications.Experience with specific tools or platforms (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, PowerShell) is a plus.ITIL certification or understanding of ITIL support processes.Experience in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) is an advantage.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.What we offer
