Your Role in VT Markets
As our Employee Engagement Specialist based in Kuala Lumpur, you will report to the Organizational Development Manager and be part of the global HR Center of Excellence. You will serve as the strategic driver of employee experience across Southeast Asia, working closely with local HR Business Partners across Asia, Europe and Latin America. This role drives cultural transformation, designing and executing initiatives that impact how employees connect with our mission and each other, supporting growth to 600 employees by end of 2025 while scaling across diverse markets.
Responsibilities
Employee Experience & Culture Development
- Design and implement comprehensive employee engagement strategies that enhance organizational culture and drive measurable improvements in engagement.
- Lead end-to-end execution of local Malaysian initiatives and global programs, ensuring cultural relevance and brand consistency.
- Partner with regional HR teams to develop and roll out People-related projects that support business objectives, elevate employee value proposition, and drive values.
Employee Programs & Communication
Manage and continuously improve existing employee programs, measure effectiveness, and implement enhancements.Create internal communications including announcements, newsletters, and strategic messaging for a diverse workforce.Develop and manage channels that support transparency and collaboration across countries and levels.Survey Management & Analytics
Lead global engagement survey execution from planning to analysis and delivery, ensuring high participation and actionable insights.Collaborate with regional HRBPs to translate results into region-specific improvement initiatives.Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership to drive data-informed decisions.Event Management & Stakeholder Coordination
Facilitate employee volunteering initiatives and partnerships with internal teams and external organizations.Source and manage event materials and branded merchandise within budget.Support team events, celebrations, and recognition programs to strengthen culture.What Success Looks Like

Job Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Human Resource Management, or related field from a reputable university.3-7 years of relevant experience in Employee Engagement, Internal Communications, or Events Management in a fast-paced, multi-country environment.Experience in multicultural environments or supporting regional operations is valued.Technical and Functional Skills
Ability to manage multiple complex projects with tight deadlines and quality standards.Strong analytical skills with experience in survey design, data analysis, and translating insights into actions.Proficiency with digital communication tools and employee engagement platforms; quick to learn new HR technologies.Soft Skills
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities with a track record of innovative engagement solutions.Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse audiences and cultures.Collaborative mindset with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.Other Requirements
