Job Summary
To provide the necessary legal services as required / assigned (which includes the provisioning of legal advice / opinion and handling the progress of litigious matters) with a view of ensuring the interest and rights of the Commission are well safeguarded and within the laws.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the required legal advice on matters affecting the Commission, specifically in respect of litigious matters, to ensure sound advice is provided in safeguarding the interests and rights of the Commission;
- Liaise with the external legal counsel handling the litigious matters brought by and against the Commission and internal stakeholders that relate to the litigious matters, to ensure that the Commission’s interests and rights are upheld;
- Be present at trials before the courts of law and Tribunals, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the legal matters raised and the legal interests of the Commission are well protected; and
- Attend meetings and / or discussions with internal and / or external stakeholders in respect of the litigious matters, to ensure that the Commission’s legal interests are duly safeguarded
Qualifications & Work Experience
Candidate must possess at least a LLB (Hons) from a reputable university with a minimum CGPA of 3.0;A member of the Malaysian Bar will be an added advantage;Minimum 2-4 years of working experience. Exposure in handling litigation matters will be an added advantage;Exposure to communications and multimedia laws will be an added advantageOther Attributes
