Job description : Job Summary
The Junior Surveyor will support the Surveying Team in carrying out land, topographic, and construction site surveys. The role involves assisting in data collection, setting out, boundary marking, and ensuring measurements align with project design and specifications. This position is ideal for fresh graduates or individuals with 1-2 years of surveying experience who are eager to learn and develop within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in field measurements, data collection, and site surveys.
- Set out and mark survey points, boundaries, and reference lines according to project requirements.
- Operate and maintain survey instruments (e.g., Total Station, GPS, levels).
- Record, process, and check survey data to ensure accuracy.
- Support survey team in preparing survey drawings, reports, and related documentation.
- Liaise with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure proper implementation of survey works.
- Assist in monitoring project progress and verifying works align with approved plans.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures during survey activities.
- Maintain equipment inventory and report calibration or repair needs.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Surveyor or Site Manager.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Geomatics / Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.Fresh graduates or candidates with 1-2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.Core Competencies
Basic knowledge of surveying principles and techniques.Familiarity with survey instruments (Total Station, GPS, AutoCAD / other software).Strong numerical and analytical skills.Detail-oriented with good problem-solving ability.Team player with strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work under supervision and adapt to site conditions.Skills & Abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.Willingness to work outdoors and under construction site conditions.Good time management and organizational skills.Eagerness to learn and grow within the surveying profession.
