Overview
Physical Verification Design Methodology and Automation Engineer role focusing on design methodology and automation for Physical Verification (PV) to support official signoff for tape-out and development work. The position involves enabling PV processes, guiding design teams, and collaborating with Foundry, EDA vendors, and DMA teams to address issues and enablement.
Responsibilities
- Define, enable, and consult on PV methodology and automation for official PV signoff and tape-out development work.
- Work with design teams to align on PV methodology and provide technical guidance and support to the design team and stakeholders throughout the design cycle on flows for quality tape-out.
- Liaise with Foundry, EDA vendors, and DMA teams for enablement, address bugs, submit enhancement requests, and establish support as needed.
- Develop effective methods to address PV challenges related to process, tools, or flows.
- Develop runsets and rule decks and implement efficiency enhancements to improve turnaround time.
- Familiar with backend IC design tools, flows, and methodologies; provide code as needed to achieve functional goals.
- Practice sound engineering practices including unit testing, regression testing, and automation for timely releases.
- Conduct efficiency studies and benchmarking to drive project metrics and improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Microelectronics Engineering, or closely related field.Proficient or experienced with Calibre and / or ICV runset development.Methodology knowledge in ERC, RC extraction, RV, HV is an added advantage.Knowledge of TCL, shell, Perl, Python scripting; interest in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence is an added advantage.Strong communication skills; willing to learn and grow as part of a team.Job Details
