Site Safety Supervisor / Site Safety Officer

Overview

Site Safety Supervisor / Site Safety Officer role focusing on maintaining safety standards on construction sites in accordance with local government requirements and OSH-related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Liaises closely with Project Manager and Engineers to uphold safety standards and enable smooth project execution.
• Assists Project Manager in ensuring safety is a top priority across all construction activities, including building construction / conversion, demolition, tools removal, and installation.
• Enforces construction Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements and ensures work activities, procedures, and processes comply with OSH Act, Machinery Act, and other local safety regulations.
• Coordinates with local authorities for necessary applications and inspections.
• Performs routine site inspections, participates in toolbox talks and Site Safety meetings, and proactively assesses risks to identify issues.
• Assesses risks and potential safety hazards across all operations.
• Monitors and reviews permits for daily work (PTW).
• Leads incident investigations when needed and develops corrective and preventive actions for implementation.
• Assists in implementing EHS initiatives and recommends alternative safety practices to improve safety and work efficiency.
• Performs other EHS-related duties as needed.
• Creates analytical reports of safety data and reports weekly inspection findings and audit summaries.
• Attends site progress meetings with consultants and clients.
