Overview
Jotun South East Asia & Pacific (SEAP) Regional Office is looking for Regional Sales Manager - Energy who is responsible for improving the regional market position and profitability of Marine and Protective Coatings, specifically in the Energy Customer Group by identifying, signing and developing selected key customers to build robust, profitable and strategic partnerships and customer relationships. This position will ensure that Jotun has a competent, engaged and enabled salesforce by creating and implementing customer management tools, methods, and guidelines in order to support the regional Performance Coatings’ strategy, as well as achieving local, regional and global targets. This position will report to the Regional Sales Director - Marine & Protective (SEAP) and will be based in Glenmarie Shah Alam, Malaysia.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop, selected Regional Key Customer relationships within the Energy Customer Group (CG) by understanding the customers’ needs, market, potential and strategy in order to position Jotun as a preferred supplier and secure sustainable and profitable relationships.
- Manage and lead the team by setting clear targets and frameworks, coaching, supporting, following-up and monitoring each team member in line with the Penguin Spirit to support engagement and enablement of the direct and indirect sales teams.
- Grow Jotun’s market position within the Energy Customer Group by overseeing projects, monitoring performance and results to ensure cost efficiency and profitable initiatives.
- Create and execute the strategic response for the Energy Customer Group by implementing policies, guidelines, tools and guiding principles and communicating this to the regional and local network in order to govern sales and customer management.
- Prioritize and develop Key Accounts / Customers in line with Segment structure and framework, by establishing and following up on activity plans and sharing tactics and best practice, to ensure that resources are utilized where they best serve Jotun’s long-term strategy and profitability.
- Ensure that the regional sales force is competent and enabled by identifying competencies, skills and knowledge profiles, establishing processes for identifying and closing competence gaps and, together with relevant internal parties, creating a learning environment which supports on-demand, flexible and suitable learning which enables and empowers Jotun’s sales force to meet its targets and goals.
- Share customer information, leads and opportunities with relevant internal stakeholders to strengthen Jotun’s understanding, innovations and response.

Job Requirement
