Business Development Manager, Renewable Energy
About the role Our client is seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to accelerate growth in the Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) sector. This role is focused on identifying new business opportunities, building strong partnerships, and driving revenue growth in one of the fastest-expanding areas of the renewable energy industry. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in power, utilities, or renewable energy, with proven expertise in business development and market expansion.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the company's footprint in both domestic and international BESS markets.
- Identify, assess, and secure new business opportunities, partnerships, and client relationships.
- Drive entry strategies into targeted regions, with a focus on renewable energy and utilities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including utilities, developers, EPCs, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with suppliers to enhance competitiveness and create joint opportunities in target markets.
- Lead client presentations, develop proposals, and manage contract negotiations to secure deals.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to promote BESS solutions.
Strategic Planning & Collaboration
Work with internal technical, engineering, and project teams to align solutions with client needs.Provide market intelligence, competitor benchmarking, and insights to support management's strategic decisions.Prepare business forecasts, pipeline updates, and sales performance reports for senior leadership.Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA is an advantage).5-7 years' experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within the energy, power, or renewable energy sectors.Strong knowledge of power systems, solar PV, and / or energy storage markets.Proven success in meeting sales targets and expanding into new markets.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic thinking capabilities.Independent, proactive, and collaborative, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.To apply, please click "APPLY NOW" or email Nahar Shah at (emailprotected).
