Business Development Manager
Responsibilities
- Identify new developments and opportunities in Malaysia
Maintain industry contacts and review news and publications to generate an outlook of upcoming opportunities.
Translate customer announcements into expected industrial gas demands.Provide regular updates on market activity.Develop relationships with new gas customers, focusing on new growth areas like energy and electronicsOriginate new gas supply relationships.
Review customer opportunities and evaluate possible alternative solutions. Work with engineering, operations, key account management and business development to determine optimum approach for basis of proposal.Develop necessary bills of materials, site layouts etc. to form basis of Linde offer. Work with suppliers and subcontractors to compile project capex estimations and delivery schedules. Lead and manage the preparation of technical proposal documents ensuring that the output is accurate, coherent, and on time, and delivers the necessary information to strongly position our offering with customers.Work closely with customers gaining their confidence during proposal phases and fully understandingInterface with customers to define and agree project scope. Incorporate customer preferences within basis of design.
Propose alternative technical approaches to customer where it its believed these have a mutual benefit or competitive advantage.Present Linde’s proposals to customers ensuring key strengths and messages contained within our offer are fully communicated to key decision makers.Work closely with Business Development Managers, Country Management and Key Account Managers to define, develop and document optimal customer solutions based on the defined business strategyLead integrated project development efforts with local country teams to ensure a fully integrated approach with clearly defined roles and responsibilities for the stakeholders.
Ensure that internal stakeholder strategies are reflected appropriately in our project offerings.Support the formation of commercial offers through a thorough understanding of the project cost build up and the alternative configurations and solutions available.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles.7-10 years experience in engineering or business development or projects or commercial dealings.Seniority level
