Job Summary :
As Deputy Manager, Business Development (Malaysia), you will lead strategic initiatives to expand Motul’s distributor and dealer network across Malaysia. You will be responsible for driving growth, leading market penetration, and channel optimisation initiatives. With your strong sales leadership, market experience within Malaysia and a proven ability to convert leads and maintain strong partnership, you will be a great contributor to the development of Motul Malaysia.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities :
Sales & Business Development
- Drive new business acquisition by identifying, approaching, and securing new distributors, dealers, and industrial accounts.
- Expand market coverage in targeted territories through proactive prospecting and deal closure.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets in line with company growth objectives.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and trading terms to maximise revenue and profitability.
Market Expansion
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to penetrate underserved regions and win new customers.Conduct market analysis and competitor tracking to uncover opportunities for rapid business wins.Optimise product placement and promotions with distributors to accelerate sell-in and sell-out.Relationship Management
Build strong commercial relationships with distributor owners and key accounts to drive repeat sales.Ensure quick response to distributor needs, resolve issues, and maintain high customer satisfaction to secure business continuity.Collaborate with internal teams to support order fulfilment, pricing, and promotionsSales Tracking & Reporting
Monitor sales pipelines, conversion ratios, and revenue performance across assigned markets.Provide accurate forecasts, sales insights, and business reports to senior management.Track and analyse sales KPIs, identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions to stay on target.Qualifications & Experience Required :
At least 5 years of experience in distributor / channel development, preferably in automotive lubricants, industrial chemicals, or FMCG.Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets and driving market expansion.Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to influence decision-makers.Results-driven, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to travel extensively across Malaysia.#J-18808-Ljbffr
