Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting and reviewing APAC commercial contracts in the Payment / Fintech industry.
- Advise and provide support on legal and compliance issues, particularly regulatory and compliance audits.
- Liaise with external parties such as lawyers, auditors, and consultants.
- Create and manage an internal database for Legal and Compliance documentation.
- Provide awareness promotion and training sessions on best practices applicable to contracts and other areas in legal and compliance.
- Assist the Group Head – Legal and Compliance in managing Legal and Compliance risks within the organization.
- Lead and support the Group Head of Legal and Compliance in the review, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Company’s policies, strategies, disclosures, and practices to ensure alignment with corporate goals and regulatory expectations.
- Lead and support projects as assigned, and benchmark industry practices to identify opportunities for improving the Company’s policies and procedures.
- Assist in other ad-hoc and special projects assigned by the Group Head – Legal and Compliance.
Job Requirements
Candidate must have at least three (3) years of active legal practice or in-house experience specializing in corporate, commercial, and regulatory compliance.Candidates with experience in compliance and APAC regional legal exposure will have an added advantage.Good drafting, analytical, communication and presentation skills.Must be self-driven, meticulous and have great enthusiasm.Able to work independently with minimal supervision and under pressure.Fluent in written and spoken English, Bahasa Malaysia; preferably Mandarin-speaking candidates serving Mandarin-speaking customers.Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.Willing to work at Bandar Sri Damansara, Kuala Lumpur.Education Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Laws (Hons) or equivalent qualifications.Pay range and compensation package : Salary and compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
