POSITION - SAFETY HEALTH OFFICER AT BANDAR RIMBAYU, TELOK PANGLIMA GARANG

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards.
• Recommend and implement corrective / preventive measures.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 1994, FMA 1967 and other applicable safety and health regulations.
• Liaise with DOSH, BOMBA, DOE and other regulatory bodies when required.
• Develop and enforce company safety policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Update documentation in line with changes to laws or site conditions.
• Organise and conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings, induction programs and emergency drills.
• Educate staff on safe work practices and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Produce reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain records of inspections, incidents, audits, training and PPE issuance.
• Prepare periodic safety reports for management review.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans.
• Ensure first aid kits and fire safety equipment are in place and functional.
• Perform any other duties / tasks assigned at other project sites from time to time.
