Head of Business Operations, MYSG
Role Purpose : The purpose of Business Operations is to enable the general manager and country leadership team members to anticipate, take and track critical business decisions related to company growth over the mid to long‑term horizon. The function leads strategy, commercial excellence mandates, analysis and key launch and portfolio planning decisions through structured analysis and alignment, and implements a structured sales training and development charter.
The role supports the GM in designing, achieving and tracking country priorities and KPIs (KPI setting, performance tracking, forecast landing and assessment of KPI achievement). It is expected to deliver on all aspects of business requiring strategic evaluation, strategy development and execution of mandates such as hyper‑growth planning, organization‑wide blueprint creation, change management, portfolio planning and commercial effectiveness.
Role Accountabilities
Strategy and Portfolio Planning
Guide and drive high‑quality differentiated commercial strategies to serve Takeda MY / SG’s short‑ and long‑term growth strategies. Responsibilities include identifying growth levers, incubating future growth ideas / projects, creating and evaluating go‑to‑market models, proposing operating and business model changes, prioritizing portfolio (existing and pipeline), managing long‑range forecasting (LRF) and business planning, and driving enterprise‑wide performance management.
Commercial Excellence
Maintain and improve CRM capabilities, set sales force effectiveness KPIs, oversee sales incentive planning, and ensure enhanced in‑clinic and ex‑clinic commercial effectiveness. Collaborate with franchises to deliver marketing excellence capabilities and develop technology‑enabled tools for customer excellence.
Business Insights and Analytics
Guide strategic decisions based on data‑driven insights, define business questions and analytics models, turn data into action, and provide continuous improvement insights for customer experience.
Launch Excellence
Enhance Takeda’s portfolio through systematic evaluation and prioritization of business cases, manage portfolio planning, lead cross‑functional teams through the launch planning phase, and ensure readiness criteria for commercial launches.
Commercial Organization Training and Development
Create commercial training and development programs to increase commercial effectiveness and deliver corporate‑wide capability building and new employee digital onboarding.
