Production Manager (Air-Conditioning Industry)

Overview

We are hiring a Production Manager for a foreign-invested, technology-driven manufacturer and supplier specializing in HVAC systems. The manufacturing plant is located in Bandar Serendah, Selangor.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Planning & Execution : Coordinate and monitor production schedules to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets; ensure proper allocation of manpower and resources; monitor production lines for smooth operations and minimal downtime.
• Quality & Process Control : Ensure products meet customer and regulatory quality standards; work with QA / QC to implement corrective and preventive actions; support SOPs and work instructions.
• Efficiency & Productivity : Identify, analyze and implement improvement initiatives to increase production efficiency, reduce costs and improve quality; monitor KPIs; initiate and lead Lean Manufacturing and 6S on the shop floor.
• Team Management : Supervise and guide supervisors, line leaders and operators; conduct daily briefings on production performance and safety; assist in staff training, development and performance monitoring; enforce company rules.
• Machine & Material Coordination : Ensure timely availability of raw materials and components; ensure material usage is controlled and efficient; report, investigate and take corrective action for losses or variance; coordinate with Maintenance for preventive maintenance and breakdown recovery; report malfunctions or capacity issues.
• Reporting & Documentation : Maintain accurate production records and generate daily / weekly / monthly reports; assist in inventory stock-take, WIP tracking, and reject / scrap reporting; support internal and external audits (ISO, safety).
• Health, Safety & Environmental : Ensure compliance with HSE regulatory standards and requirements.
