Ensure that the company’s Quality Management System Manual, IOI Quality Standard and the Project Quality Plan (PQP) are adhered to during construction of works
To obtain all relevant approvals for the construction of the projects including layout plan, earthworks, infrastructure works, building plan approval and all other relevant approvals including the issuance of certificate of fitness and / or certificate of completion and compliance
To coordinate with consultants during conceptual design, design development and tender stage and to ensure that all drawings are prepared within stipulated time frame for submission to the relevant authorities and calling tender
Act as intermediary between field personnel and architect / designer in the resolution of project issues via management of the Request For Information process
To regularly report to the General Manager on the progress of the works and the problem areas encountered especially in respect of defective, outstanding or non-conforming works or delayed works
To control relevant project documents and data as outlined in the PQP
Prepare project schedule / timelines considering property available room counts, contractor availability / capability and materials and Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment delivery schedules
Qualifications
Requirements
Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering, Architecture, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline
Minimum 8-10 years relevant experience preferably in property / construction sectors
Sound knowledgeof civil, structural, quantity surveyingand architecturalworks in hotel construction
Strong leadership and ability to lead site projectteam and coordinate with internal contract department and consultants
Abilityto coordinate with relevant government authorities for therequired approvals and permits / licenses
