Hong Heng Group of Companies is a trusted name in Malaysia’s transportation and logistics industry. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Transportation Manager who is proactive in driving improvements, capable of developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and committed to building a more structured and systematic logistics operation. This role is ideal for someone who is not only experienced in logistics but also passionate about making processes better, more efficient, and more consistent.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly delivery and collection schedules.
- Ensure transport operations comply with JPJ, SPAD, DOSH, and other regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and enforce SOPs related to transportation and logistics.
- Ensure adherence to ISO standards and quality management systems.
- Monitor and evaluate driver and fleet performance.
- Optimize delivery routes and fuel usage to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure roadworthiness.
- Manage delivery delays, service disruptions, and customer complaints effectively.
- Conduct audits and inspections to maintain operational compliance and safety.
- Prepare regular reports on transport costs, fleet utilization, and service performance.
- Liaise with third-party logistics providers, vendors, and transport contractors as needed.
Qualifications
Diploma / Degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Forwarding & shipping, or a related field.Minimum 3 years of experience in transport or fleet operations, preferably in a managerial role.Solid knowledge of transportation compliance and regulations (local and international, if applicable).Experience working in an ISO-certified environment and familiar with quality systems.Strong ability to develop and implement SOPs effectively.Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.Proficient in transport or fleet management software (e.g., ERP, GPS tracking).Able to work under pressure and manage a team efficiently.Proficiency in English and Mandarin (spoken & written) is required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients / stakeholders.Working experience in an IPO company will be an added advantage.Rewards and Benefits
