Sorting Center / Distribution Center Manager

The Sorting Center Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the sorting / distribution center. This role ensures smooth parcel processing with a focus on operational efficiency, cost control, service quality, safety, and team development.

Operational Management

Oversee and coordinate all sorting center activities to achieve operational excellence.

Ensure timely and accurate parcel processing to meet delivery schedules.

Enforce company policies, SOPs, and compliance requirements.

Identify and implement process improvements to support business growth.

Process Optimization

Streamline sorting procedures to maximize efficiency and minimize errors.

Drive standardization of processes across the center.

Analyze operational data and implement corrective actions where needed.

Manage workforce planning to meet operational demand, especially during peak seasons.

Recruit, train, and lead sorting center teams.

Set KPIs, monitor staff performance, and provide feedback and coaching.

Build a safe, positive, and results-oriented workplace culture.

Quality Control & Safety

Maintain service standards through robust quality control measures.

Monitor misclassification, loss, and complaints; implement preventive solutions.

Manage emergency situations and ensure workplace safety compliance.

Foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability.

Reporting & Communication

Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.

Maintain clear communication channels between local and international teams.

Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

At least 3–5 years of experience in logistics, distribution, or sorting center operations, with 1 year in a managerial role.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Proven ability to drive operational improvements and manage large teams.

Flexible, proactive, and results-driven.
