What You’ll Do
Oversee the full spectrum of accounting functions, invoicing, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR) and cash flow management.
Prepare financial reports, including financial statements and budget performance analysis, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulations and internal control systems.
Perform monthly reconciliation of balance sheets and bank accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
Support management in liaising with auditors and tax agents to ensure compliance with financial and regulatory requirements.
Provide oversight of operational activities (e.g., cost control, procurement and compliance checks) to ensure smooth business operations.
Monitor cash flow and provide accurate financial status reports to management for appropriate decision-making.
Spearhead, guide and develop the accounts team to achieve high standards of performance.
Review and approve financial statements, management reports and reconciliations.
Work closely with senior management to develop financial strategies that drive growth and efficiency.
Any other tasks and project assigned by senior management from time to time.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA are an advantage).
Minimum 5 years’ managerial experience in accounting, preferably in logistics, construction or engineering industries.
Excellent communication skills including proficiency in English, Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin will be an added advantage as it is required to communicate with mandarin-speaking client as well as external stake holders.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, tax laws and financial regulations.
Excellent leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills plus theability to delegate tasks effectively and manage a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel (advanced level), Word) and accounting systems.
High level of integrity, discipline and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
