Vice President, Operations Manager - Legacy Franchise (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

Manage professional teams and departments through delegation of tasks and responsibilities

Conduct performance evaluations, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations of team members, and maintain staffing requirements

Monitor the team’s quality and efficiency of end results and manage training and development needs

Create and develop budgets, policy formation, and short-term resource planning

Manage occasionally complex and varied issues with significant departmental impact

Apply in-depth knowledge of how areas integrate within the sub-function and coordinate with the goals of the entire function

Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis in complicated and unique situations

Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards

Operate with a limited level of direct supervision and exercise independence of judgement

Act as SME to senior stakeholders and / or other team members

Ability to manage teams and assess risk when business decisions are made, safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets, and ensuring compliance with laws, policies, and ethical standards

Qualifications

6-10 years of experience with a background in Financial Services Industry (Commercial Banking experience is an advantage)

Extensive knowledge of Client Onboarding processes

Working knowledge of Commercial Liability Account Opening, Maintenance & AML requirements

Working knowledge of Systems (Filenet, Citi KYC, WFM) and Commercial Liability Products

Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines

Proven organization and time management skills

Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree / University degree or equivalent experience

Master’s degree preferred
