Manager Operations
HSBC’s Global Service Centre in Kuala Lumpur & Manila supports multiple products and legal entities throughout the trade life cycle. The Cash Equity Operations team, part of Markets and Securities Services Operations, ensures all equity trades booked by the front office flow correctly through settlement and are settled successfully on value date. Settlements are managed in the KL and Manila GSCs with support from London, HK and France for depot and transaction management.

The Opportunity
Manage and supervise post‑trade support activities of the Settlement Ops teams.
What You Will Do
- Ensure trades are correctly matched and settled timely in the market.
- Adhere to risk & control framework and escalation procedures.
- Perform end‑of‑day checks and drive process efficiencies.
- Build strong business and operation management relationships.
- Assist management in achieving overall business objectives.
- Collaborate with the team to resolve issues and meet performance targets.
- Continuously increase process knowledge through cross‑training.
- Engage onshore business partners to communicate issues and escalations.
- Liaise with external clients to resolve issues and answer queries.
What You Will Need to Succeed
University degree.Strong understanding of Asian & European markets for settlement operations.Ability to work in a virtual team environment and support multiple functions.Attention to detail and a hands‑on approach to process improvement.Strong awareness of operational risk, control and exception management.Initiative‑driven and team‑oriented.Follow formal escalation framework across all aspects of operations.Excellent communication skills to manage local and international relationships.Additional Preferred Skills
Degree in Business or Finance.Knowledge of LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies.Familiarity with related technology.Understanding of market operations an advantage.Ability to thrive in a demanding, time‑sensitive environment.Experience in operations processing.Seniority level
