Overview
The primary function of the position is to manage the supply planning for promotional activities, distribution & inventory management as well as selected category of assigned products. These products must be available to restaurants in an uninterrupted supply and in accordance with our quality standards at the most competitive price possible.
Job Responsibilities :
- Supply Chain / Quality System Management : Identifies relevant business drivers for given product category.
- Assesses the industry and the product type, including demand from consumers, competitor review, supplier capabilities, capacities & competencies, in relation to US Pizza Malaysia's future demand for that product type.
- Identifies key competencies that need to develop for, or added to, the product supplier base.
- Works directly with suppliers to ensure the necessary supplier infrastructure is in place to execute the product plan.
- To support the selection and approval process for new suppliers who meet all US Pizza Malaysia's quality standards & compliance.
- Support New Product Promotion : Understands and interprets the marketing projection.
- Agrees quantities, timeline and negotiates the best possible price with suppliers to support the promotion.
- Work with DC to provide suppliers with product schedule and delivery timeline.
- Relationship Management : Manages the business relationship with the suppliers involved in the supply chain category.
- Builds strong relationships and fosters teamwork among department, agencies, suppliers and staff to achieve maximum performance.
- Maintains open communication channels between Operations Department, Marketing Department, Menu Department, RSG, Ops and other relevant departments to ensure store operations targets are met.
- Cultivates and promotes working relationships within US Pizza Malaysia to gain and share knowledge (e.g. best practices).
Skills & knowledge requirements :
Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of relevant SCM / logistics / OEM management experience, preferably in the F&B or FMCG industry.Strong understanding of export / import regulations and logistics processes.Proficiency in ERP systems and computer skills, particularly MS Excel.Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, motivated attitude.Seniority level
