Assistant Manager, Commercial & Procurement

Responsibilities

• Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) / Bill of Quantities (BOQ) independently, and prepare tender proposals and bids.
• Liaise with Trade Contractors and Vendors, especially M&E and carpenter and rs to provide accurate cost projections.
• Work closely with the project team, designers, and trade contractor.
• Develop and implement effective strategies, skills, and methods for tender pricing.
• Manage project budgets and control costs.
• Source, negotiate with, and co-ordinate between supplier, trade contractors and vendors.
• Assist the project team with procurement preparation, Variation Orders (VO), and additional works quotations.
• Finalized accounts with Clients as necessary.
• Building and maintain a library of rates and ensure proper documentation.
• Ensure strict confidentiality regarding all prospective, on-going, and completed projects of the Company, especially regarding margins and tendered rates.
• Build a strong and diverse database of trade contractors and suppliers and maintain healthy relationship with them.
• Sustain a responsive and transparent relationship with Clients, Contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure efficient time and documentation management for proposals, tenders, value engineering, and any variation orders.
• Collaborate with project teams to address unforeseen issues that may impact project costs during execution.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, cost benchmarks, and new materials to enhance cost estimation accuracy.
