Senior Mechanical Engineer (Construction)

Job descriptionDegree in Mechanical, HVAC, Mechatronics, or related field 5+ years of relevant construction or engineering experience Able to work independently with minimal supervision Strong organization, time management, and communication skills Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Willing to travel or be stationed on-site when required
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical design for assigned systems and ensure timely delivery
- Coordinate with external specialists and guide drafting teams
- Prepare scope, specs, and BOQ for tenders
- Respond to bidder queries and assess technical submissions
- Support safety team and supervise contractors on-site
- Propose and manage design or scope changes
- Approve technical documents and work methods
- Lead testing and commissioning activities
- Provide on-site technical support and resolve issues
- Liaise with commercial team on cost matters and verify claims
- Support quality control team with specs and inspection tools
- Ensure project completion, approve final documents, and assist in handover
