Purchasing Officer

Overview

We are a leading manufacturing company in the lime base products sector with plants around Europe, Malaysia and China. Located in Kuala Ketil, Kedah, we invite high caliber and results oriented individuals to join our management team.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure required products by ensuring the right specification, quality standards and cost criteria.
• Expedite for timely deliveries and work towards meeting customer request dates.
• Price updates as necessary and maintain respective records in the system.
• Issue PR and PO, update PO status and monitor daily incoming quality.
• Issue delivery schedules to vendors based on production orders.
• Provide forecast quantity and confirm orders to suppliers.
• Follow up on samples for new parts and part approval.
• Handle quotation and cost-down activities.
• Discuss capacity with vendors to understand their production capacity.
• Check invoices and match with DO and PO before sending to Finance.
• Prepare monthly reports.
• Ensure all POs are issued based on approved PRs by each department.
• Maintain purchasing information such as unit prices and supplier data.
• Comply with established procurement procedures and work toward improving material costs.
