ICS - Vendor Manager (Malaysia, India)

Penerangan pekerjaanDevelop and execute vendor negotiation strategies that balance commercial optimisation, risk mitigation, and stakeholder priorities. Review vendor redlines and collaborate with Technology Legal, Supply Chain Management, stakeholders and risk owners to resolve complex positions. Provide subject‑matter expertise on RFx and contract / SOW as required. Financial Oversight Develop reporting dashboards for management visibility on spend, risk and compliance. Drive cost efficiencies and value realisation across vendor portfolio. Support vendor‑related purchase order process across BAU & investment, ensuring end‑to‑end tracking / audit trail, invoice validation against work completed and payment accuracy, and compliance with local standards and regulations. Risk and Governance Exercise urgent and effective remediation of risks and issues impacting delivery; escalated appropriately. Support all audits (internal & external) and regulatory reviews; assist risk and compliance teams to follow‑up on audit observations for timely closure. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work with CIC domains to ensure work is prioritised across competing demands to achieve committed CIC outcomes. Provide contract advisory support to project teams during initiation, transition and exit. Regulatory & Business Conduct Embed the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across the Bank. Collaboratively identify, escalates, mitigates and resolves risk, conduct and compliance matters. Help the Group meet its commitment to being “Here for Good”. 8+ years of experience in vendor relations, contract management and negotiations, onboarding and vetting new vendors. Experience / knowledge of third‑party risk management (TPRM) and audits is preferable. Experienced in information technology management and comfortable with cyber security terminology; global and diverse working experience across matrixed organisations. Organisational skills and process discipline to drive multiple agendas, with flexibility and responsiveness to handle changing priorities. Extensive experience working across business management, service office, risk and planning domains; management and oversight of budgeting and forecasting cycles, particularly around headcount and vendor spend; high discretion with confidential information. Excellent communication skills – oral, written and presentation, capable of breaking down complex concepts for diverse audiences. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or preferably cybersecurity. ICS – Vendor Manager (Malaysia, India)
Job Summary : This role could be based in Malaysia or India. The Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) organization protects and ensures the resilience of Standard Chartered Bank’s data and IT systems by managing Information and Cyber Security (ICS) risk across the enterprise. The Vendor Manager will coordinate day‑to‑day organization of ICS vendors and contracts, providing frameworks, transparency, and reporting capabilities to streamline vendor engagement & governance processes, improve vendor spend visibility, identify efficiency opportunities and enhance forecasting accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Vendor / Contract Life‑Cycle Management
Maintain accurate contract inventory; provide early visibility on upcoming contract renewals and allocated budgets; ensure timely and cost‑efficient renewals in line with CIC budgets and act as liaison between CIC, vendors and SCM.
Track vendor / contract spend, renewal forecasts and budget optimisation.
Ensure all arrangements conform to Group Key Risk Owner Standards, Group Risk Policy and Third‑Party Risk Management Standards.
Maintain strong stakeholder engagement with Legal, SCM, Finance, Risk Group Owner and other internal / external stakeholders to align contractual, technical and governance outcomes.
