Missions

The International Science, Technology and Innovation Centre for South-South Cooperation under the auspices of UNESCO (ISTIC) is looking for a Climate Change Education Programme Officer to join our team in Kuala Lumpur.

The Programme Officer will be in charge of planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating ISTIC’s Climate Change Education activities, with a particular focus on the Green Education for Southeast Asia (GE4SEA) Programme, a flagship initiative developed in partnership with the Office for Climate Education.

The role requires effective coordination with stakeholders, reporting on programme progress, and ensuring successful outcomes. The Programme Officer reports to Director of ISTIC.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage programme plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate and liaise with partners, stakeholders, and relevant teams.
• Monitor and evaluate programme progress, ensuring objectives are met.
• Prepare and submit programme reports, documentation, and proposals.
• Organize and participate in meetings, workshops, and events.
• Identify opportunities for programme improvement and innovation.
• Ensure compliance with ISTIC’s policies.
