What you'll do

• Take ownership of the finance function in Malaysia, driving accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial operations while supporting business growth initiatives.
• Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with local statutory requirements and corporate policies.
• Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that meet regulatory standards as well as internal management needs.
• Drive the budgeting process by coordinating with various departments to develop robust forecasts and conduct detailed variance analysis for effective planning.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions to optimise the company's financial resources and maintain operational stability.
• Ensure full compliance with Malaysian tax laws, audit requirements, and other regulatory obligations by staying up-to-date with changes in legislation.
• Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to senior management to support business growth strategies and cost optimisation initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and nurture the finance team by fostering a culture of operational excellence, continuous learning, and mutual support.
• Collaborate closely with commercial, supply chain, and operational teams to provide financial guidance on key projects and initiatives.
• Implement improvements to finance systems, policies, and processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and transparency across the department.
